Sharks vs Bruins Player Props: Pastrnak Keeps Rolling

David Pastrnak appears to have found another gear, and the San Jose Sharks might be visiting Boston at precisely the wrong time.
The Bruins captain recorded two goals and two assists in Thursday's 6-0 demolition of Nashville, bringing his season total to 16 points through 11 games. He's now registered 14 points in his last seven appearances.
San Jose is also coming off an impressive victory, defeating Ottawa 6-2 on Thursday. However, the Sharks needed 41 saves from Yaroslav Askarov, while Macklin Celebrini was held off the scoresheet.
These teams have already met once this season, with Boston winning 6-3 in San Jose on October 13. For Saturday's player props, I'm leaning toward Pastrnak delivering another multi-point performance.

The San Jose Sharks visit the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Saturday, October 24, with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
Boston enters with an 8-2-1 record and has collected points in seven consecutive games, going 6-0-1 during that stretch. San Jose has improved to 6-4-1 following consecutive victories against Montreal and Ottawa.
The Bruins are favored in the prediction markets, with recent Kalshi and Polymarket game prices implying roughly a 60–65% chance of a Boston victory.
However, there's an important distinction between supporting Boston to win and expecting Pastrnak to record multiple points.
The latter requires a considerably lower entry price, and that's where I'm looking for value.
Pastrnak has six goals and ten assists through 11 games, averaging 1.45 points per appearance.
Those numbers are hardly surprising for a player who finished last season with 100 points in 77 games. What stands out is just how frequently he's been producing multiple points recently.
Against Nashville on Thursday, Pastrnak scored twice and contributed two assists as Boston cruised to its sixth victory in seven appearances.
He also recorded two points against Los Angeles on October 17 and another two against Anaheim the previous night.
That's three multi-point performances in his last four games.
The only interruption came against Dallas, when he was held off the scoresheet in a 3-2 overtime defeat.
More encouragingly, Pastrnak continues to generate opportunities regardless of whether Boston is controlling the game. He's recorded 37 shots through 11 appearances and remains the Bruins' most important offensive player.
His recent chemistry with Pavel Zacha and JJ Peterka provides another reason for optimism.
The trio has been Boston's leading forward combination, while Pastrnak remains heavily involved on the power play alongside Charlie McAvoy.
The Sharks deserve credit for their 6-2 victory over Ottawa, particularly after falling behind early.
But the final score doesn't tell the entire story.
Ottawa outshot San Jose 43-28, and Askarov needed a career-high 41 saves to secure the victory. Two of the Sharks' six goals also came into an empty net.
That's hardly the performance of a team that has suddenly solved its defensive problems.
Boston exposed those issues in their previous meeting, scoring six goals despite registering just 26 shots.
Fraser Minten scored twice in that contest, while Pastrnak contributed an assist.
The concern for Saturday is that San Jose could start Alex Nedeljkovic rather than Askarov.
Nedeljkovic has enjoyed a considerably stronger start, carrying a .917 save percentage through four appearances. He's capable of keeping San Jose competitive, and his presence would make me slightly more cautious about aggressively supporting Boston's scoring markets.
Still, this is a favorable matchup for a player with Pastrnak's offensive responsibilities.
Celebrini has five goals and nine assists through nine appearances, giving him 14 points despite missing time earlier in the season.
He's been particularly impressive recently, registering three points against Detroit on October 17 and another three against Montreal on October 20.
However, his scoreless performance against Ottawa serves as a reminder that even San Jose's most productive player isn't immune to difficult nights.
There are reasons to like his chances of contributing against Boston.
Celebrini recorded a goal and an assist when these teams met on October 13, with both points coming on the power play. He's also averaging more than 22 minutes of ice time and remains the centerpiece of San Jose's offense.
The difficulty is Boston's defensive form.
Jeremy Swayman has been excellent to start the season, carrying a .928 save percentage, while the Bruins have conceded relatively few goals.
Celebrini's 1+ point market is certainly worth considering, but I'd want a substantial discount before supporting him against this Boston team.
David Pastrnak — Anytime Goalscorer
Pastrnak's two-goal performance against Nashville brings him to six goals this season. He remains Boston's most dangerous individual finisher, and San Jose's defensive inconsistency creates opportunities.
However, his finishing ability is likely to be reflected in the market price, and I'd rather support his overall point production.
Fraser Minten — 1+ Point
Minten is another interesting candidate after scoring twice against San Jose earlier this month.
He's been playing alongside Morgan Geekie and Marat Khusnutdinov, giving Boston a productive secondary unit behind Pastrnak's line.
The matchup is encouraging, although his scoring role isn't quite as established as Boston's leading forwards.
Boston's latest top line features JJ Peterka, Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak, followed by Marat Khusnutdinov, Fraser Minten and Morgan Geekie.
Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm are expected to lead the defensive pairings.
San Jose's recent top line features Igor Chernyshov, Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, with Ivar Stenberg, Michael Misa and Kiefer Sherwood providing another offensive combination.
Alexander Wennberg remains unavailable with an upper-body injury and is considered week to week.
Jeremy Swayman is the expected starter for Boston after Michael DiPietro played against Nashville on Thursday. Alex Nedeljkovic is the projected starter for San Jose following Askarov's 41-save performance in Ottawa.
Neither starting assignment has been officially confirmed.
