Buehler has struggled pretty consistently this year and that should continue against one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball. Meanwhile, Lopez should keep operating at a high level, making a parlay where the Braves score the bulk of the runs and the over cashes worth playing.
San Diego certainly has enough talent to steal a game if Buehler rediscovers his best command and the middle of the lineup delivers with runners aboard. Machado, Tatis, and Merrill are capable of producing multiple extra-base hits against any pitcher, and the Padres remain dangerous whenever they pressure opposing defenses early.
Still, Atlanta checks more boxes entering this contest. The Braves have the steadier starter, the deeper lineup, home-field advantage, and stronger recent form. My projection calls for Atlanta to gradually separate during the middle innings before turning the game over to its bullpen. A 5-3 Braves victory is the most likely outcome, making the Braves moneyline my preferred wager for Tuesday night's National League showdown in Atlanta.
