Virginia enters with a pristine home record and a top‑20 ranking built on a much-improved offense under Ryan Odom. North Carolina just steadied itself with a convincing midweek win over Notre Dame after a rough West Coast swing. With Virginia’s improved offense and perfect home record pushing one way and North Carolina’s top‑end shotmaking pushing the other way, this should be an entertaining game. The Cavaliers’ ability to limit second‑chance looks and force UNC into late‑clock jumpers should tip the scales in their favor. I'm going to lay the points with the Cavaliers in this spot, as they should be able to move to 1-0 on the newly-minted Tony Bennett Court in this one.
