Introduction
Yazmin Jauregui enters this matchup as the clear side on paper, with the cleaner recent UFC results, the stronger offensive ceiling, and the more reliable ability to dictate where the fight takes place. Vanessa Demopoulos is dangerous in scrambles and can threaten submissions if opponents overextend, but she has been outmatched by higher-level UFC opposition in recent outings and has struggled to consistently win minutes against active strawweights.

Why This Bet Stands Out
The value is built on a mismatch in two areas that matter most here: output quality and control of the fight’s geography. Jauregui has shown the sharper stand-up game, more reliable damage, and the ability to keep opponents from settling into the kind of scrambling exchanges Demopoulos needs. If Jauregui stays disciplined, she should win the cleaner exchanges at range and limit the extended grappling pockets where Demopoulos is most live.
The price also reflects a fighter whose recent record looks better than her opponent’s, but the market has not gone far enough to fully account for the gap in recent form. Demopoulos is coming off multiple straight losses and has been beatable when opponents keep the pace steady. Jauregui’s long layoff is the one real caution, but it does not erase the stronger skill set. Even with that rust concern, the matchup still leans heavily toward Jauregui’s side.
Matchup Overview
Jauregui’s most recent UFC win came over Sam Hughes, while her last outing ended in a submission loss to Ketlen Souza in September 2024 after a two-year gap between fights. Demopoulos has dropped three of her last four, with losses to Jamey-Lyn Horth, Talita Alencar, and Jaqueline Amorim, and her lone win in that stretch came against Emily Ducote. That recent run suggests Demopoulos has had more trouble holding up against active UFC-level opposition, while Jauregui’s edge in clean striking and overall pace makes her the more trustworthy side despite the layoff.
Betting Trends

Prediction Summary
Jauregui is the projected winner, most likely by decision, because her cleaner striking, stronger minute-winning ability, and better recent UFC level of opposition give her the more stable path to victory. Demopoulos can create danger in chaotic grappling moments, but her recent form has been poor enough that the favorite side still carries the better value. The main concern is Jauregui’s long absence from the cage, yet the matchup still points to her as the more complete fighter.
