Panthers vs Jets Player Props: Tkachuk Looks to Punish Struggling Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have lost five consecutive games, and the Florida Panthers haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders either. But there's one player who has been remarkably consistent through Florida's uneven start: Matthew Tkachuk.
The Panthers visit Canada Life Centre on Tuesday, October 27, looking to build on Sunday's 3-2 victory over Chicago. Winnipeg, meanwhile, is coming off a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Montreal in the Heritage Classic.
Florida enters with a 6-4-2 record, compared to Winnipeg's 4-4-3. The Panthers have their own injury problems, but with Tkachuk continuing to produce and the Jets missing some important defensive pieces, there's an interesting opportunity in the player props market.
My attention is on Tkachuk to register at least one point.
Tkachuk has recorded a point in 10 of Florida's first 12 games. With Winnipeg missing Josh Morrissey, I like his chances of contributing again.

Winnipeg's season is quickly becoming a frustrating one.
The Jets have managed just nine goals across their five-game losing streak. Their latest defeat came against Montreal on Sunday, despite Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor combining for 12 shots on goal.
The absence of Josh Morrissey hasn't helped. Winnipeg's leading defenseman remains sidelined, while the departure of Connor Hellebuyck to New Jersey has left Stuart Skinner carrying much of the responsibility in goal.
Florida has problems of its own. Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand remain unavailable, while goaltender Jacob Markstrom is recovering from an upper-body injury.
Still, Sunday's victory over Chicago was encouraging. Matthew Tkachuk scored on the power play, with his brother Brady and Seth Jones collecting the assists.
It wasn't a spectacular performance, but Florida needed the result after consecutive defeats against Ottawa and Pittsburgh.
Matthew Tkachuk has registered 16 points through 12 games, including four goals and 12 assists. More importantly, he's appeared on the scoresheet in 10 of those 12 appearances.
That's the consistency I'm interested in.
Tkachuk has also collected 11 points on the road, an encouraging figure considering Tuesday's game takes place in Winnipeg.
His role remains significant despite Florida's injuries. He's been skating alongside Brady Tkachuk and Sam Bennett, giving the Panthers a dangerous combination of physicality, puck possession, and offensive creativity.
There's also his involvement on the power play, where he's already contributed regularly this season.
Winnipeg isn't necessarily an easy opponent to score against. Stuart Skinner has delivered some respectable performances, and the Jets have generally been competitive despite their recent results.
But with Morrissey missing from the defense, I like Tkachuk's chances of finding his way onto the scoresheet again.
Three players stand out across the available goals, assists, and points markets.
Matthew Tkachuk — 1+ Point
Polymarket US has Tkachuk at 68¢ to register at least one point.
It's not an especially cheap position, but the underlying numbers are encouraging. He's produced points in 10 of 12 games, and his ability to contribute both goals and assists gives him more ways to deliver.
His assists contract is available at 55¢. Although he's collected 12 assists this season, those have come across just six games.
That's an important distinction. The points market looks more attractive to me despite the higher entry price.
Kyle Connor — 1+ Goal
Connor has been Winnipeg's biggest offensive threat, scoring nine goals in his first 11 games.
He's also generated 49 shots on goal, averaging more than four per appearance. That kind of volume makes him interesting at 40¢ to score against Florida.
The concern is Winnipeg's form. Connor has scored twice across his previous five appearances, while the Jets have struggled to generate consistent offense.
I wouldn't rule him out, especially with Florida missing Markstrom, but this is a more speculative position.
Seth Jones — 1+ Assist
Jones has quietly been outstanding offensively.
The Panthers defenseman has registered 11 assists this season, all coming across his previous seven appearances. He's also been handling significant minutes and contributing to Florida's power play.
At 47¢ to record an assist, there's something to consider.
My hesitation is that several of his assists have come in multi-point performances. That makes his recent production look more consistent than his game-by-game results suggest.
Nevertheless, Jones deserves attention, particularly with Winnipeg missing Morrissey.
