Devils vs Golden Knights Player Props: Luke Evangelista's Opportunity in Vegas

Jack Hughes and Jack Eichel will naturally attract plenty of attention when the New Jersey Devils visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday. However, there's another player whose prediction market price looks particularly interesting.
Luke Evangelista has recorded eight points in ten games for New Jersey, finding the scoresheet in six of those appearances. He's becoming an important part of the Devils' offense, and Friday's matchup presents another opportunity.
Vegas has allowed a power-play goal in six consecutive games, while Evangelista continues to feature on New Jersey's first unit. With Kalshi pricing his 1+ point contract at 50¢, I think there's a reasonable case for taking the YES position.

Evangelista joined the Devils from Nashville during the offseason, and his early performances have been encouraging.
The 24-year-old has three goals and five assists in ten games, averaging more than 17 minutes of ice time. He recorded points in four consecutive appearances before being held scoreless against Colorado on Wednesday.
His role is particularly interesting. Evangelista is expected to play alongside Nico Hischier and Timo Meier, giving him two established offensive players to work with at even strength.
He's also part of New Jersey's first power-play unit, alongside Jack Hughes, Jesper Bratt, Nico Hischier, and Luke Hughes. That combination should continue to provide opportunities, even when the Devils struggle to generate offense at five-on-five.
Evangelista finished last season with 56 points in Nashville, so his early production isn't entirely unexpected. The difference now is that he's playing with considerably more offensive talent around him.
The Golden Knights have opened the season with a respectable 9-4-1 record, including six victories in eight home games.
They also snapped a three-game losing streak with Tuesday's 4-1 victory over Ottawa. Jack Eichel continues to produce offensively, while Mark Stone leads the team with eight goals.
However, Vegas has struggled to keep opponents off the scoresheet when shorthanded.
The Golden Knights have conceded a power-play goal in six consecutive games, a concerning stretch for a team that otherwise remains difficult to play against.
Goaltending is another factor worth monitoring. Carter Hart's availability remains uncertain following an undisclosed injury, with Adin Hill expected to start if Hart cannot return.
New Jersey has the personnel to exploit those special-teams problems. Evangelista doesn't necessarily need to score himself, either. Playing alongside Hughes, Bratt, and Hischier gives him several opportunities to collect an assist.
Kalshi currently lists Evangelista's 1+ point YES contract at 50¢, while his 2+ point contract is available at 19¢.
The cheaper two-point contract is tempting, but Evangelista has recorded multiple points in just two of his ten appearances. I'd rather focus on the considerably more achievable single-point threshold.
There are other interesting opportunities in this game.
Jack Hughes is available at 37¢ YES to score a goal. He's scored four times in 13 games and remains New Jersey's biggest offensive threat, but I'm not convinced that price offers much of an advantage.
Arseny Gritsyuk's 1+ assist contract is listed at 29¢. He's enjoying a productive start with six goals and four assists, although his secondary power-play role makes that position slightly less appealing.
Evangelista offers the best combination of recent production, favorable usage, and a manageable entry price.
